Welcome to the Navigator Program

EducationALIVE helps students build the capacity to reflect, reason,

and move forward through guided curriculum, near-peer mentorship,

and real-life application.

The Navigator Program includes three integrated experience: Journey to the Summit, a guided student-formation curriculum that helps build resilience, relationships, sound judgment, and purpose: Near-Peer Mentors, trained upperclassmen who facilitate small group safe circles, encourage belonging, and model healthy leadership; and Career Exploration, where Career Sherpaa guide job-shadow experiences that help students discover careers aligned with their strengths and goals.

🧭 THE NAVIGATOR PROGRAM

A structured experience that helps students think, understand, and apply what they learn to life.

Designed for a real-classroom as a semester-long freshman course with trained upperclass mentors but flexible in nature to work in any secondary learning community setting.

What makes it work:

Process actively, not just listen: Through journaling, discussion, and group reflection students transform principles into understanding, reasoning. and application.

Connect learning to real life: Students reflect on their real situations—like friendships or challenges—finding meaning and applying concepts to their own lives

Work through real situation: They apply learning to real decisions, relationships, and challenges they face making the learning immediately relevant to them.

Supported through mentorship: Peer mentors builds safety, accountability, belonging, and follow-through.

As students engage in this process, they build sound reasoning they can apply across subjects—writing, reading, math, science and beyond and they develop the desire to learn.
